CONDITION: Retains most of the renickel finish. The grips have traces of original varnish but are worn flat in spots. The bores are poor. Mechanically functional. 2. SMITH & WESSON MODEL 1 1/2 SA REVOLVER. Ser 8128, all matching. Caliber .32S&W, 3 1/2” ribbed barrel. CONDITION: 95% nickel on barrel. 90% on frame and cylinder with numerous drag lines on the latter. The grips are excellent. The bore is pitted. Mechanically needs works. 3. SMITH & WESSON MODEL 1 1/2 SA REVOLVER. Ser 65605, all matching. Caliber .32S&W, 3” ribbed barrel. CONDITION: 95% original nickel with several heavy drag lines on the cylinder. 90% faded casehardening on the hammer. The grips are excellent. The bore and action are fine. 4. SHARPS MODEL 1A FOUR BARREL PISTOL. Ser 58418, caliber .22, 2 1/2” barrels. CONDITION: Traces of blue on barrel mixed with moderate to heavy pitting. 5. ENGRAVED COLT NO #3 DERINGER WITH PEARL GRIPS. Ser 35007, with matching numbers on the inside of pearl grips. Caliber .41RF, 2 1/2” barrel. Light scroll engraving of New York style on frame and barrel. CONDITION: 98% nickel on the barrel. Traces of gold wash in the engraving on the frame. 80% gold wash on hammer, 60% on trigger. 6. COLT NEW LINE 22 REVOLVER. Ser 48044, caliber .22, 2 1/4” flat sided barrel. “COLT NEW .22” in etched panel on left side of panel. British proof on cylinder. CONDITION: 85% nickel overall. 8. COLT NEW LINE REVOLVER. Ser 3586, caliber .41RF, 2 1/2” round barrel. Completely refinished, removing part of the markings. 11. COLT 1878 DA FRONTIER 6-SHOOTER. Cal .44 WCF. Nickel finish. 5 1/2” barrel with black composition bird head grips and a lanyard loop in the butt. Ser 43229. CONDITION: Good, retains most of an old renickel over some light pitting. All legends still visible. CONDITION: Retains 90% of the excellent refinish which has flaked slightly on the sides of the barrel and ejector rod. 90% varnish on the grips. The bore is poor. Mechanically tight. 15. MERWIN & HULBERT Co. SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. Ser 24243, caliber .44/40, 7” round barrel. Standard marks on frame and barrel. CONDITION: Gray patina mixed with light to moderate pitting. 36. INDIAN YATAGHAN WITH GOLD DAMASENE HILT AND RICASSO. 13 1/2” curved blade sharpened on both edges. The iron hilt terminates in a bird’s head. The damascened surfaces are vines, leaves and chevrons. A sculpted elephant’s head with gold tusk and eye is on the right side of the blade. CONDITION: Gray patina on blade with slight rust on the sharpened edges. Some rust on the cross guard and slight wear to the damascene work in the lower grip area, no scabbard. 38. NORTH AFRICAN JAMBIYA. 8 1/4” flat steel blade with only the tip sharpened. Plain wood handle missing the collar. The brass covered wood scabbard has coarse engraving on one side only. 39. HAND MADE KNIFE WITH SCABBARD. 7” very thin blade with antler hilt. The leather scabbard is machine sewn and has a belt and buckle to hold the knife. 41. LOT OF TWO GREEN RIVER BUTCHER KNIVES. 1. 12” blade, rosewood scales. CNDITION: Moderate pitting overall wit home nicks on the blade. The scales are fine. 2. 12 1/2” 2” wide blade, rosewood scales. CONDITION: Bright polish on blade with scattered spots of light surface rust and pitting. 42. LOT OF SIX BUTCHER KNIVES. 1. 7 3/8” homemade from a file, oak handle. CONDITION: Still shows grinding marks. The handle is dented and scratched. 2. Unmarked 6 1/4” with walnut handle, possibly made from file with stamped leather scabbard for a longer knife. CONDITION: Still shows grinding marks and has areas of light to moderate pitting. The handle and scabbard are very good. 3. 5 3/4” Franklin with rosewood scales. CONDITION: Edge ground, moderate pitting overall. The right scale is cracked otherwise good. 4. 5 3/4” blade made from a file, turned wood handle with lead throat. CONDITION: Edge ground, light to moderate pitting elsewhere. The handle is cracked and missing some chips. The lead is badly battered. 5. Lamsom & Goodnow 5 7/8” blade. Wood scales. CONDITION: Surfaces ground otherwise good. Scales have minor chips at the front. 6. 7” blade made from file with oak scales. CONDITION: Moderate pitting overall, chips and slivers missing from handle. CONDITION: Heavy pitting overall, one side of the hilt is worn flat and one crack from pommel halfway down the hilt.3. US 1910 ser 7782, 13 7/8” blade. CONDITION: Blade is bright, hilt is rusty with badly battered scales. 4. 16” curved blade with turned wood handle. CONDITION: Edge has been ground, remainder of blade is covered with rust. 57. LOT OF THREE LATE NORTH AFRICAN DAGGERS. All have handles made of alternating Bakelite and metal washers. The blades are roughly filed. 1. 9 1/4” blade with brass red and black washers. 2. 7 1/4” blade with aluminum red and black washers and brass pommel. 3. 4” brass blade, black, white and red washers aluminum pommel. 58. LOT OF TWO DAGGERS. 1. “MANHATTAN CUTTLERY CONPY SHEFFIELD” 4 7/8” diamond shape blade, Geran silver cross guard and cutlery hilt. The maroon leather scabbard has a German silver throat but is missing the tip. CONDITION: Edges have been sharpened and shows scattered light pitting. The handle is very dirty. 2. 4 1/2” spear point blade made from a file. Sheet copper cross guard and pommel bone scales attached with copper ribbons. CONDITION: Grinding marks remain on all metal. 59. GERMAN CHAMOIS HILT DAGGER. 5 3/8” spear point blade, iron cross guard. Lightweight leather scabbard. CONDITION: Blade has sharpening marks but is generally very good. 60. LOT OF FIVE KNIVES. 1. Eastern Mediterranean dagger 6 1/8” spear point blade, horn scales with pewter inlaid rings. The separate languet is decorated with shell patterns. The turbaned head of a young man with elongated ears appears to be wearing a cloak of feathers. CONDITION: Gray patina overall with light pitting on the blade which appears to have been shortened from alonger size. The wood grip has a small chip on the right side and numerous small dents. Liege, Belgium. “Made specially for Silver & Co. - San Francisco” This shotgun has a 32” narrow vent rib barrel with double ivory bead, full checkered wrap-around forearm and pistol grip Monte Carlo stock 14 5/8” over a Pachmayr recoil pad. The receiver is flat-sided boxlock action engraved with about 30% coverage, very fine arabesque patterns. The top of the receiver is nicely engraved with a flying pigeon and the breech end of the barrel has fine gold wire inlay in arabesque patterns and a tiny engraved lighthouse with gold light and emanating rays. 158. RECONVERTED FLINTLOCK FOWLING PIECE. No serial number, 10 gauge, 44” octagon to round barrel. Marked “T>BOLTON & CO”, “LONDON” on the barrel. This is poorly reconverted by driving a nail into the nipple and drilling a hole in the side of the barrel. CONDITION: Blue/brown patina overall. The stock is cracked through the lock plate screw with considerable loss of the German wire inlay on the left flat. The wood has been previously repaired, sanded and refinished. 161. BELGIAN DELUXE DOUBLE BARREL PERCUSSION SHOTGUN. Cal 10 bore. Unusual shotgun with 31" coarse twist damascus bbls, marked in gold and silver over the chamber areas "Rubans" on the left barrel and "D'Acier" on the right barrel. Fitted with moderately engraved back action locks that have engraved hammers, top tang and long trigger guard. The unusual part stems from the eagle head carving on the belly of the stock, raised leaf carving around the toe and heel and also between the front tang of the trigger guard and the nose pipe, which also has a raised carved shield bearing a Swiss cross. Buttstock has a sweeping cheek piece on the left side with a scallop shell cap box inlet at the rear. The line of the cheek piece extends over the comb and down the right side of the buttstock and the entire right side is incise carved with grape vines and leaves. The right side of the wrist is hand stamped with the initials "LKB". Ser-none. CONDITION: Good plus, the barrels retain no original finish, but have most of their original pattern. The buttstock is sound and retains generous amounts of its original hand-rubbed finish. The ramrod is not original to this shotgun and is about 4" too short. The wedge is a replacement. 162. T. DESCHNER HALF STOCK KENTUCKY STYLE RIFLE. Cal approx. 38perc. Tiny little half stock rifle with 30” octagon bbl, two iron ramrod guides, fixed sight, top flat marked with maker’s name and Ithaca, NY. The stock has a pewter nose cap, brass trigger guard and buttplate. The stock is a rather plain wood without ornamentation, the lock is marked “T&W Astin”. CONDITION: Fair to good, the barrel has been cleaned to white with light pitting around the nipple area. German silver wedge escutcheons and a small German silver initial plate with a smooth steel buttplate. CONDITION: About good, the barrels retain a light gray cleaned patina. 195. EARLY GERMAN SABER. 29 3/8” slightly curved single fuller blade marked with running fox and the date 1746 on both sides. The brass guard and pommel end in a lion’s head. The flat wood hilt is wrapped with cord, leather and brass wire. CONDITION: Gray-brown patina on the blade with moderate to heavy pitting on the blade. The markings are clear. 196. EARLY HAND-FORGED SWORD. 33 3/4” single fuller blade. Iron hand guard with 4 rectangular cutouts at the front. It is marked “73 D ?” (C backward) The wood grip is covered with smooth leather and wrapped with a heavy iron wire with only 3 turns to travel the whole length of the grip. 197. UNMARKED CAVALRY SABER. 27 1/4” curved blade single filler. Thin hand guard is riveted to the pommel of the ribbed iron grip.
