Standard grade with 20" round barrel, full magazine, square base front sight with thick blade and 3-leaf express sight, stud and sling ring on the left side, uncheckered wood, long forearm with straight stock and smooth carbine steel buttplate. Ser. 1021389. CONDITION: Very good to excellent, the nickel steel barrel and magazine tube retain 96-98% strong original finish, the receiver has an original heavy dark blue finish similar to that found on stainless steel receivers. It retains 90-95% of this finish. The wood is sound and retains about 95% original finish. Brilliant shiny bore. 4-42704 JL156 (600-900) Ambrose Collection 802. * WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 32-40. Standard carbine with 20" round barrel, full magazine, square base front sight with carbine ladder rear sight, stud and ring on left side of receiver, uncheckered wood, long forearm with straight stock and smooth steel carbine buttplate. Ser. 612290. CONDITION: Very good to excellent, the barrel and magazine tube retain 94-96% original finish with a series of small scratches above the forearm and on top of the barrel, the receiver retains 20-30% blue with the balance a silver/gray patina. The lever retains 25-30% faded case colors and the hammer 60-70%, the wood is sound with a fine hand polished patina, having few nicks and scratches. CONDITION: Very good, the barrel and magazine tube retain 92-93% original blue, the receiver about 30% on the left side and traces on the right side, with the balance a silver/gray patina. The forearm has a hairline at the receiver, the buttstock is sound and both retain most of an old refinish. Excellent bright shiny bore. 4-42709 JL158 (350-500) Ambrose Collection 804. * WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SPECIAL ORDER TAKE DOWN LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30 WCF. Standard grade rifle with 26" special order octagon to round barrel, full magazine, half nickel front sight, 3-leaf express rear sight and Lyman loop tang peep sight. Uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. Ser. 228267. CONDITION: Excellent, the barrel and magazine tube retain 94-96% strong bright original blue with only light muzzle and edge wear, the receiver retains 94-96% strong bright original blue, as does the take down ring, being slightly thin on the right side. The receiver has a small area of very fine pitting at the left front edge and some scattered surface discoloration on the left side with one small spot of pitting on the right upper edge. The lever retains 50-60% bright case colors with the balance soft gray with a few spots of light pitting, the hammer retains about 80% bright case colors. The wood is sound and excellent with extra figure in the buttstock and retains about 95% original finish overall, slightly dull at the carry point at the forearm, stronger and brighter on the buttstock. Standard grade rifle with 24" tapered round barrel, pedestal front sight with Sheard blade and semi-buckhorn rear sight, half magazine. Uncheckered wood with straight stock and serrated steel buttplate. Ser. 2693. CONDITION: Good to very good, the nickel steel barrel retains 60-70% thin blue, the receiver 15-20% thin original blue with the balance a silver/gray. The wood is sound, the forearm retains about 90% original varnish and the buttstock about 75%. Both have usual handling and use nicks and scratches with one or two heavier scratches on the forearm and a bruise on the buttstock, some oil staining at the wrist. CONDITION: Excellent, matching numbered bolt, retains 97-99% original blue on the metal, 96-96% wood finish with minor nicks and scratches and a small ding on the edge of the cheekpiece, with two or three small bruises in the checkering. The black forend tip has several scratches in the finish, the floorplate has scattered fine pinpoints of rust. Post-war production with 24" tapered round barrel, ramp front sight with hood and a replacement semi-buckhorn rear sight, checkered standard grade stock with factory sling swivels and checkered steel buttplate. Accompanied by its original 2-piece box containing all the inserts, wooden blocks and trigger guard tag. Ser. 123259. CONDITION: Excellent, the metal retains 97-99% strong original finish, slightly thinned over the front receiver bridge and with dried oil around where a receiver sight had been mounted. The floorplate with very fine sharp edge wear, the stock is sound and retains 97-98% strong bright original finish with minor handling and storage nicks and scratches, with a cleaned area about the center. CONDITION: Excellent, matching numbered bolt, the barrel retains 97-98% strong bright original blue, the receiver 97-99% original finish with only slight sharp edge wear, the stock is sound and excellent and retains most of its original finish with a light large bruise on the left wrist and two or three small nicks in the finish near the forend tip. Beautiful pre-war rifle with 24" tapered round barrel, ramp front sight with hood, slot blank at the rear sight dovetail, beautifully figured checkered standard grade stock with factory swivels and checkered steel buttplate. The receiver is mounted with a Redfield Junior one-piece base and a Lyman Alaskan all-weather scope (the rear bridge has been tapped with one hole). The scope is with a single post. Ser. 46999. CONDITION: As noted, matching numbered bolt, excellent plus, retaining 98-99% original finish overall to metal and wood, with only very minor handling and storage marks with one or two small finish chips and two small dings on the stock. WINCHESTER MODEL 1876 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 45-60. Standard grade rifle with 28" octagon barrel,"1876" marked ladder sight, full magazine, uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. The stock and forend cap with original swivels. Ser. 27778. CONDITION: Very good plus, the barrel retains 92-93% strong original finish, thin on top toward the muzzle. The magazine tube retains about 75% original blue turning brown on the bottom. Forend cap has about 95% bright original blue. The receiver retains 92-95% original finish, thin on the bottom and in front of the carrier with scattered spots of light surface rust and pitting with a series of scratches where someone has attempted to clean the rust, six or seven spots on the right side plate. The forearm has a tiny chip near the receiver with a couple of small dings on the left side and four or five deep marks on the right side. The buttstock has the remains of a very old refinish. CONDITION: Very good, the barrel retains 93-95% original blue, thin on the round part with scattered light surface rust, the receiver retains 92-93% original finish, strong and bright on the sides, thinned on the top and bottom with a thumbnail sized area of fine pitting on the right side and some other scattered very fine pitting on both sides. The receiver is mounted with Weaver rings containing a Leupold Vari-X II 2-7X scope. Accompanied by its original one-piece H & R box. Ser. 127279. CONDITION: Excellent, the metal retains 97-99% strong bright original blue, the wood is sound and retains about all its original high gloss finish. Miniature Mauser action made in Czechoslovakia dated "1958" with 23" tapered round barrel, pedestal front sight with hood, 3-leaf express sight, 2-folding, 1-standing, Schnable tipped checkered one-piece stock with pistol grip and embossed black composition buttplate. The receiver is double square bridge with dovetails mounted with a Leupold M8-6X scope, double set triggers and one 5-rd magazine. The stock has sling swivels and a narrow European sling. Ser. 21719. 862. WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 RIFLE WITH SHOOTING BOX. Ser. 177488A. .38 cal., 24-1/4" round barrel. The rear sight on the barrel has been replaced and a Beech front sight and heavy base tang sight added. Accompanied by a pine shooting box containing 37 reloaded cartridges, bullet mold, loading tool, caps and oil. The top tray has tin dividers in one half for 84 cartridges and the other half with two wood dividers. The bottom half has a 4" square tin box for powder and compartments for the loading tools and miscellaneous equipment. The lock works. CONDITION: 50% blue overall with a cleaned spot on the barrel behind the rear side and scattered spots of light surface rust elsewhere. The forearm is worn at the balance point. The butt stock is worn at the toe and has some oil stains around the action but is generally very good with light scratches and dents on both sides. The bore is very good. The action is tight. The toolbox has wear on the edges.but is generally sound. 4-42316 FS21 (1,000-1,500) 863. * WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 33 WCF. The magazine take down lever is slightly bent and apparently someone attempted to force it causing a slight bulge at the tip and about a 1/2" split in the seam, all repairable. Full sidelock shotgun with two sets of 28" barrels choked MOD/IC and FULL/MOD, raised matted ribs with single brass beads, double lump with ejectors, The wood is highly figured Circassian walnut with a splinter forearm and straight stock 14-1/4" over a checkered butt. The forearm has a gold inlay in the center with a wreath and crown marked "Imperiale Monte Carlo". The receiver is unadorned bright polished metal, except for minor patterns around the screws and the manufacturer’s name "SA Luigi Franchi" in gold on each lockplate. It has double triggers with the front being articulated and the stock has tear drop side panels. The bayonet lug has been ground on the right side of the barrel. The stock has been decorated with a pattern of iron nails. CONDITION: Poor overall with rust and pits. The sling is broken. The bore is poor. The stock is missing inlays. 4-42414 FS18 (100-200) 884. LOT OF 2 DAMASCUS SHOTGUNS. 1) Belgian hammer gun marked spuriously "W. RICHARDS" on both locks. "1901" on bottom barrel rib may be date or serial number. CONDITION: Strong damascus pattern on the barrels with spots of light to moderate rust and some long scratches along the muzzle. The bores are lightly pitted. The action shows traces of casehardening colors in protected areas. The wood has been lightly sanded and refinished. A 3-inch chip is missing on the right side of the forearm. Mechanically good. 2) 16 gauge, 27" barrel. Percussion double barrel shotgun marked "WILLIAM GOLDING LONDON" on top of the barrel. Does not have British proofs. The right hammer is missing entirely. The left hammer is missing the top. CONDITION: Brown patina overall with moderate to heavy rust. The barrels are choked Mod/IC with a matted rib and single brass bead and the makers mark "Scott’s Improved Bolt" at the barrel extension. The receiver and side locks are beautifully engraved with light arabesque patterns and a pigeon on each lock. It has a full checkered splintered forearm with a patent latch, double triggers and extractors and a semi-pistol grip, modified to a Monte Carlo-style stock with tear drop side panels, 14" over a solid brown Old English pad. The stock has a drop of 1-5/8" at comb and 2-5/8" at the rear of the Monte Carlo. CONDITION: Very good on the barrels. Forend iron, trigger guard, lever and safety retain about all of a fine restored finish. The receiver and locks are polished bright, but evidence of pitting remains. The wood is sound and retains most of its excellent restored finish with freshened checkering and a few minor handling and use marks. CONDITION: 90% dull blue on barrel with slight rubbing above the forearm. Bright casehardening colors on the action. The stock has many scrapes and scratches, but is generally fine. Replaced butt stock with Old English solid red recoil pad, 14-3/4" pull. "OARD" has been stamped on the bottom of the barrel lug. CONDITION: 98% of an old reblue remains on the barrel. The action has been polished and left bright. The butt stock is fine. The sliver forearm has been revarnished. The bores are bright, but slightly pitted. Mechanically tight. 4-42302 FS35 (500-800) 890. * WILLIAM EVANS FROM PURDYS DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. Beautiful box lock double barrel shotgun with 28" barrels choked IC/CYL, concave rib with the maker’s name and address. The rear of the barrel extension is a dolls head and third fastener with a "1" engraved on the rib and again on the opening lever, the trigger bow and forend iron. The barrels have double lump with extractors and the receiver with double triggers. The receiver is square back boxlock, beautifully engraved with very fine arabesque pattern of about 65-70% coverage, the maker’s name and address in ribands on both sides. The fences are engraved with large acorn and oak leaf patterns, the opening lever is engraved "PATENT", the top tan is lightly engraved as is the safety with the word "Safe" inlaid in gold. Nicely figured replacement wood, full checkered splinter forearm and straight grip stock 14-3/4" over a checkered butt. The stock has a 1-5/8" drop at the comb and 3-1/8" at the heel. Ser. 2016. CONDITION: As noted, very good, the barrels and wood retain virtually all of an excellent restored finish, the receiver retains 15-20% bright case colors with the balance turned silver. The entire receiver is fully engraved with deep relief Oriental style engraving with six silver inlaid pheasants on the left side, five silver ducks on the right side, two silver partridges on the bottom and two silver rabbits on the trigger bow, the engraving is very fine quality, deep relief with great detail. Over the top of the receiver and opening lever are leaf and Arabesque patterns with fine stippled background. The rest of the engraving also has the very fine stippled background. The forend iron and barrel skirts are also identically engraved. Accompanied by an early original reddish-brown round edge Browning leather trunk case, blue velvet lined, with black furniture for a 32" barrel over/under shotgun. Also accompanied by a 3-piece ebony wood cleaning rod. Ser. 54534. CONDITION: Excellent, the barrels retain 93-95% strong bright original blue, with a couple of fingerprint size spots that have been cleaned and touched up just forward of the chamber area.
